This round of updates is about meeting you where the work actually happens: on your phone, in a quick message to a colleague, or in the middle of a live Flow that needs a small adjustment. Here's what's new.
Build and manage Flows from your phone
The Flow designer is now fully usable on mobile. You can open a Flow on your phone, tap into any Stage, adjust who's responsible, rename blocks, and move around the canvas without the zoom-and-scroll gymnastics. A short guided tour runs the first time you open the designer on a phone, so the mobile gestures feel obvious from the start.
The rest of the product came along for the ride. Your dashboard, instance list, user management, and audit trail all reflow cleanly on smaller screens, and analytics stack into readable columns. Approvals, reviews, and quick fixes no longer have to wait until you're back at your laptop.
Cleaner public links and better previews
Public Flow links are now shorter and tidier, easier to paste into an email, drop into a chat, or print onto a QR code. When someone shares a link in Slack, WhatsApp, or LinkedIn, the preview now shows the form's title and description, so recipients know what they're about to fill out before they click.
External respondents can also attach files to public forms now. That opens the door to intake Flows where someone outside your organisation can submit documents, photos, or voice notes, no login required.
New Flows start ready to use
Creating a new Flow no longer means staring at a blank canvas. Every new Flow now starts with a sensible skeleton (a form to collect input, a review step, and approved / rejected outcomes) so you have something working from the first click. If you want a bigger head start, a new template picker lets you begin from a proven pattern instead.
To prevent a common oversight, stepbase now blocks you from publishing a Flow if a step has no one assigned to it. No more Flows that silently get stuck because nobody owns the next action.
The form builder also got simpler: one clean list with inline section headers that you can drag to reorder. And two new field types (Photo and Voice) let you collect a quick snapshot from the field or a voice note from a customer, right inside the form.
More control over live work
Plans change, and sometimes a Flow is already running when they do. Admins can now reassign an active step to a different person without having to restart or migrate the Flow; just swap the owner and carry on.
A new activity panel on each Flow Instance shows administrative changes in one place, so it's easy to see what happened, when, and who did it. And when you roll Flows onto a new version, stepbase now refreshes assignments automatically if ownership has changed, so no one inherits a task they shouldn't.
Photos, voice notes, and file uploads now show up inline in the Stage history too, so reviewing a submission is just a scroll, with no clicking through attachments one at a time.

A few smaller touches round out the release: condition builders now offer dropdowns when a form field has a fixed set of options, comparison steps produce a clean per-respondent summary that downstream steps can act on, and bulk connector actions are easier to set up. If your workspace uses its own subdomain, everything (dashboards, sign-in, switching workspaces) now lives under that subdomain, so the URL always reflects where you are.
